Although Delta Upsilon offers a variety of activities, social, intramural, and cultural activities, we promise to support your academic performance, which is the true purpose of your college education. Delta Upsilon recognizes this and strives to maintain its superior academic performance. To that end, our focus on academics traditionally places us among the top of all fraternities on campus. For the academic year 2004, the fall pledge class had the overall top grade point average for pledge classes with 3.19 G.P.A.  For Spring semester 2005, our overall academic performance was 3.089, placing us 4th overall and one of the top academic fraternities on campus.. In the fall of 2005 Delta Upsilon placed first overall among fraternities with a 3.16 G.P.A. and the 2005 pledge class placed fourth in grades among pledge classes. For the spring 2006 semester Delta Upsilon placed third overall in grades with a 3.08 G.P.A.

Besides having others around who "know the academic ropes," the house provides several study aids. We encourage a study atmosphere during the week and maintain quite hours during dead week and finals week. Old tests, homework and notes are available in our ever increasing test file archives located in our study room. We just completed upgrading our internet cable service to the fraternity house to provide wireless internet access to each room as well as our computer room. Additionally, we have just completed renovations to our brand new study hall. Dedicated Alumni have pumped tens of thousands of dollars into our house in order to provide current members with the proper study atmosphere. The new study hall has brand new furniture and can be shut off from the rest of the house in order to maintain silence for studying. We understand you are attending OU to get a quality education. DU has made a commitment to help you succeed academically, not only through your first year, but for your entire college career.
